You want your cat to be in the best of health. Cats at a healthy weight are happier and more active. But how do you know your cat is at a healthy weight, overweight, or even underweight? A cat’s ideal weight can vary 10 to 15 pounds depending on the breed and individual stature, so it’s not always as simple as weighing them.
This video demonstrates how to tell if your cat is at a healthy weight simply by feeling it in three separate areas. The method is demonstrated on a cat, so it’s easy to see how it’s done, and what to expect from your own cat.
For further questions regarding your cat’s health, come visit us at Hudson Veterinary Hospital of Ossining, NY. If your cat is not at an ideal weight we can help you to remedy the problem.
